Romans 8:31

Jesus said, "go make disciples,"

but when I open my mouth,

my anxiety pushes the Gospel

down my throat

in a painful gulp,

instead of out of my lungs

and into the world.

so I pause.

inhale.

and repeat,

"if God is for us, who can be against us?"

and suddenly the weight is no longer heavy

and sharing Jesus sets me free.
